Current Events Quiz #1

1. Nelva Gonzalez Ramos
2. USS John S. McCain
3. They have been poisoned by carbon monoxide gas
4. 50 million people in the US alone

Long response: This article was about the city of Charlottesville draping black covers over confederate war memorials. It also covers many peoples' reactions, most positive, and one man who tried to cut the tarp, saying it was illegal. I think it was good to shroud the statues, because it shows respect to the woman that was killed at Charlottesville. I think UT made a good decision taking down confederate war statues, because these statues show people who fought for a bad cause, and technically, these were enemy generals because the Confederacy fought the United States. Personally, I don't care that these statues are visible, because I never look at statues anyway, but I do think it is right to remove them. I haven't really had any conversations about this topic with anybody.
